Default Having trouble diagnosing misfire.

A while back, I got a cel for a misfire in cyl. #4. So, as recommended, I switched the coil pack to a different cyl. to see if the misfire would follow it (which was cyl. #3). Then I got a code for #3 and #4. For one last test, I then switched #3 and #4 to #1 and #2. What's happening now is the misfires are still going on, but not as bad, so it not tripping a cel. Oh, and the misfires only happen under heavy acceleration under boost. I keep trying to drive the car hard just so I can get a code, but no luck. Does anyone have any idea what's going on here? I don't think it could be the plugs since they only have 6k mi. on them. Thanks.

I'm using ngk v power plugs. Could the car not like these plugs or something? I bought the car last year so I don't know if it's chipped or not. I still don't have a boost gauge, so I guess I won't find out until I do

if your not chipped only run oem plugs at manufacture spec gap if you are use the ngk bkr7e's gapped at .028 thats one of the biggest problems i see ppl encounter with missfires besides coil packs

If they are copper plugs then you might want to put a new set in because 6k is plenty on copper plugs. Pull them out and look at them, they might be worn to the point that the gap is too big now.

Well, it would be cheaper to try out some new plugs than buy a set of coil packs. I'll probably try that first and see what happens.
