Hi! Im getting a set of hids from TRS. There's a drop down option on which harness to get. Now i have a 98 a4 and does have a dash warning lamp that shows when a bulb is out. The guy i spoke to from TRS customer service said that i'll definitely need the canbus however im getting conflicting info from the web. Some say we dont need canbus harness and just go with the hd relay. So which one is which really? I wanna make sure i get this right. TIA!

These no CANBUS before 2000 in the A4's, and even then it was limited as to what was on it. Think 2001+ was the first year for full Canbus integration
