headlights pre face lift???

Default headlights pre face lift???

hello all!!! its me again

before u guys bomb me with the search prior to post, i did try! it is very confussing for a newbie!

my first question is what are all differences between pre facelift and facelift? if there is such thread please show me the right direction thanks!

reason for asking is Im in the market for headlights and taillights and want to make sure i get right fit

please understand that Im new and I know absolutely nothing on this cars

found some info! still have not found all the info i would like, so here's another question on a 96' quattro if i was to get a one piece headlight i would have to cut the fender? and re wire eveything?

im assuming you found out pre facelift are two pieces and facelift are one pice. so yes you need to cut and rewire for the swap. it really doesn't look that hard, ask imthedevil i believe he has done it.

Fender has to be trimmed, but it's easy enough with a grinder. As for the wiring, just remove the small harness and connector from your old headlight and use it in the new one - no need to rewire or buy adapter harnesses. CCA4 did a great writeup for it, and I believe you'll find it at AudiFreaks.com.
