Just recently got a 2000 quattro with 2.8. sometimes when I slow down I get a heavy vibration from the rear. Almost sounds like a flat tire. Fwiw my tires and breaks are both pretty worn. It happens pretty intermittently and I let when slowing down at about 20mph and clutch in.
