Takata Airbag Recall
Bit of a PSA
Got a letter from Audi Australia today recalling my 98 B5 to inspect regarding the worldwide Takata airbag recall. Apparently they don't know but it can contain the dodgy airbag known as the "Takata Nadi Driver Airbag" which has apparently killed people.
Audi says that if it does have the faulty airbag, they can't replace it due to the age of the vehicle so will offer to buy the vehicle off me at current market rates which I'm not sure I'm so keen on.

This is a group formed in Australia to look at ways to assist people who own cars that are listed as affected and enable informed decisions to be made about the future of their vehicles. Read the posts and take a good look around. There are successful ways found in Australia to be safe and keep your car. These may be applicable in other countries.
