Help!! 97' A4 2.8L Quattro
My driver side rear window will not go up. I have checked for voltage to the switch and checked the resistance well. the switch is opening and closing. I did not find any power at the motor though. I have 12V DC at the switch but only on one pin. I do not have any diagrams of how this should be laid out.
it has stopped working before but I just started again. I was thinking maybe a loose connection or maybe the motor finally went bad but I have no power at all to the motor.
The window is stuck down. I am wondering if there is anyway I can put the window up manually or if anyone has any ideas of what I could be missing.
Thanks in advanced.

My dads old A6 did this. The motor would run but was faulty and any time the window would go down we would have to reach over with the right hand and actually lift/pull it up while our left hand held the 'up window' button. By the time it got so high up our hand wouldn't fit, the motor did the rest of the work.
In short, yes you can pull it up with your hand. Not sure what's actually wrong though.
