Default Help with check engine light I have codes.

I went down to autozone and they gave me 9 codes for my newly purchased 1997 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T. I knew it had some issues when I bought it and I got it for a great price. I am wanting to do the work myself and am wanting to see what some people who are knowledgeable in audi's can see is wrong by looking at my codes.

P0118
P0102
P0134
P0140
P1425
P1613
P1472
P1198

Weird the guy said there were 9 codes but only gave me 8. So what might be messing up? The car seams to want to die when coming to a stop and sometimes does die. Other than that it seams to be running great the coolant temp gauge stays right at the halfway point never over and the oil tep seams to be always lower than 200. I don't have any emissions testing where I live and I don't have too much money till I get my old truck sold so what needs to be done and what can wait?
Thanks a lot guys.

P0102 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circ Low Input
P0118 Engine Coolant Temp.Circ High Input
P0134 O2 Sensor Circ. Bank1-Sensor1 No Activity Detected
P0140 O2 Sensor Circ. Bank1-Sensor2 No Activity Detected
P1425 Tank Vent.Valve Short to Ground
P1472 EVAP Emission Contr.LDP Circ Short to Ground
P1613 MIL Call-up Circ Open/Short to B+
P1198 O2 Sensor Heater Circ. Bank1-Sensor2 Electrical Malfunction

You can type each of these codes in google or search this forum with the code for more detail. I got this info from http://dtcsearch.planetvag.com/default.aspx.

Hope this helps.

Okay so what I am seeing by that is that both of my O2 sensors and my MAF need to be replaced right? And then is maybe my engine coolant sensor bad? The temp gauge in the car reads dead center when its warmed up so I don't know what thats about? And then whats up with the following three?
P1425 Tank Vent.Valve Short to Ground
P1472 EVAP Emission Contr.LDP Circ Short to Ground
P1613 MIL Call-up Circ Open/Short to B+
Thanks for your help.

you could also have an upstream exhaust leak. That would throw the O2 sensor codes. Either way this could cause catalyst problems so get it checked out soon!

I would not assume that you need to replace the sensors, may need to just clean something up. I would do what pologk04 says first.

Oh wow so how can I tell if there is an upstream exhaust leak? Where can I look and what am I looking for? I didn't even think of that but it does seam like I can smell the exhaust sometimes in the car but just barely and not often.

If you listen under the car while its running you can usually hear an exhaust leak. Try having someone give the engine a little rev while you listen. Just don't get too close to the exhaust with your hands or any other body parts while its revving because its possible to get a little fire coming out depending on how close the leak is to the manifold. I recently had a leak from one of my flex pipes that it just downstream of the downpipe. Its a pretty common place to get a leak. If you take it to a Midas or some other shop they will usually take a look at it for free. Try your local muffler shop and see what they can find.

I had a exhaust leak when I got my Audi and it was the double clamp(pipe that fits around 2 pipes and has 2 bolts to squeeze the clamp it around them) connecting the exhaust together. The one on my car was rusted out. Got one on Ebay for 20 bucks slapped some exhaust goop inside it tightened it and my car sounds great.
