Default Help with deciding which ABS speed sensor

So, I got my ABS control unit rebuilt after the dreaded ABS blinking and now my scanner detects that my right rear wheel speed sensor is at fault. Throwing the codes P1721 (ABS Wheel Speed Signal #3(Right Rear) - Range/Performance and P1728 (Varying ABS Wheel Speed Signals - Range/Performance). Now I'm looking into getting that sensor replaced but I can't figure out which speed sensor I need to buy.

Would it be?

My car is a 1998 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T, the last 6 digits of my chassis number are 163564. Now both say that they will fit a 1998 A4 Quattro, so I can't figure out which one I actually need.

I'm leaning towards the first since it has the 1998-1998: ,chassis to 280000. Where the 2nd link has 1998-1999: ,chassis 280001 to. So I'm assuming that any chassis below 2800000 (which mine is) would require the part from the first link.

Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

I think you're right. To double check i would look at the rubber grommet on the wire when the wire starts going into the car since they appear to be different on the two links you gave, then you would know for sure probably.

look at the sensor, the newers ones are a sensor that is bolted on on is alot cheaper since the wiring would disconnect at the sensor and not all the way to the abs computeri believe they started that in 98 so that might be you the older one had the push type your looking at. if your seriously looking for a cheap solution to that sensor its a simple 2 wire sensor and you can splice in any push type audi sensor, hell the right rear (for some reason its always the right rear)on my a4 is off a 1990 coupe quattro
