speed sensor (vss) same as crank sensor??
Okay im getting frustrated with this, my speedometer and odometer arent working as of last night, today i called a bunch of places and their saying that the vss is the crank or camshaft sensor but that makes no sence. Please help

They're different. The VSS drives speedo/odo through the ECU. The crank sensor is an engine speed/rotational position sensor that tells the computer the position in the rotational cycle that the engine is in, and helps to time the operation of the engine.

Well when i told them i need a vss they gave me the part number that came up as the crank sensor. So they obviously dont know what they're talking about. Where is the VSS actually located? And where could I find the part number

On top of the trans-driver side by the engine block. I can't recall how much of a pain it will be to remove with the trans installed. If you have more than one plug on your trans, I think VSS is the blue one. Get to it from the top by taking your coolant tank out iirc.
