Default Help me fix my little problems with this project..

Got this for winter, was in the shop for the first 2 months of ownership. just got out and have more problems that could use fixing. hoping maybe someone has had experience, can let me know easy fixes.

Drivers rear door refuses to open, does not really respond to power locks. Will not open from inside, or outside. The lock is pushed out and can not be pulled out even with plyers

One of the 02 sensors is not heating up properly. Need to be replaced?or is it just retarded?

Radio.dumb question but where do i find the raido keys?ha. need to remove it so i can get it unlocked. previous owner was a retarded and changed the code with out writing it down.

Side mirrors are werid? It looks like someone tried washing the mirrors with a chemical or something and has made the mirrors all dark. At autoparts stores they sell sticky mirror covers, should that be done?or replaced?

Skid plate will not come off due to rust. Should I just break it off and leave it off? Car has not had an oil change in around 7 years..might be over due ha.

Need diy oil change video somewhere.. ive done them for my mustang, but the engine and everything is more open obviously. not sure how it is done with theese beasts.

Most importantly***
What should i change out that is cheap an easy that most likely is needed? This car most likely sat from 2002-2009 and need to get it ready for new hampshire winters. (i already had to change all bulbs and fuses. every single fuse was blown or in the wrong spot, every light bulb was either blown and non existant, or was a soft shell of what it used to be. Literally every single one..)
Help me get this beast on the road for the winter with as few problems as possible. have had my cars always fixed for me, want to figure this on my own for once....Even though its a 96. runs like a tank

Break the skip plate off pointless unless it was lowered, for the radio key you haft to go to the audi dealer, for the 02 just replace it,for the door its the door lock pump, for the oil its easy as hell theres a big bolt behind the oil pan unsrew replace the filter and add oil,for the mirrors i would do this http://www.parts4euro.com/DCShop/ind...?cPath=2_27_28

For all repairs go here.... http://audidiy.com/b5a4.php

For the mirrors are you talking about the actual mirror or mirror housing? They are auto tinting/defrost on some models (maybe all) and have a tendency to get stuck on and burn through the mirror leaving a nasty look to them. Mirrors can be found at ecstuning.com and are very easy to remove/replace.

Oil changes take 10 min. Jack one side up, drain/plug, pull filter off (i move the coolant res out of the way and take the filter from the top), lower then fill.

Just take off the dumb cover, you dont have a choice, lol. Previous owner took mine off and my car has been fine and I even plow the Colorado roads with it being lowered.

^^ for the radio code (dealer).

You can replace the 02 sensors for $70 if you get the splice your own kit, and all you really need is an 02 sensor socket that can be found at an auto store.

Its the actually mirror. not the casing. Like the edges are all this dark coloring. You can still kinda see with it but it is not clear and is just werid with half good, half bad

Check the junkyards. For your full-size driver mirror, you can use a B5 Passat mirror or one from a 99ish A6 (I've done both on my car). You can buy radio removal keys at Walmart for $4. The O2 sensor heater is dead. Replace the sensor. The $70 splice-it sensor works great. Like they said, you have to remove the splash shield - the oil pan/filter are down there. The filter points at the lower grille on the drivers side of the bumper. Easy to do.

I had the same problem with my mirrors, they are auto tinting and are heated, mine got moisture in them and you couldnt see crap, bought mirror inserts for them they were adhesive and I just stuck them onto the stock mirrors. Call a audi dealership tell them you need the code for your radio and give them your VIN #. As far as DIY try out this link, it helped me get my fuel filter off and looks like its full of basic repair and maintenance how to info..

Possibly both. I'd pop the radio loose, drive to the dealership with photo ID and title, and give them those with the radio serial number. This way you prove it's you on the title, the car is with you, and the radio in question is in the car. Very little weakness in that plan.

And be prepared to pay an hour's labor for this 10 minute process.
