you should start by looking at the Newbie guide, it helps a lot. and you go the 2.8 so is going to be Expensive to mod your car performance wise rather than modifying a 1.8t which is cheaper to modify.

(((To gain power for your car would be by supercharging and thats a lot $$$$))) but you can do Exhaust, intake, and Suspension to start with

but look in to the newbie guide it helps.

as alex said ^^^ the newbie guides help alot. cheap appearance mods= tinted windows, rims
a good mod to start with is a CHIP. they give the most bang for buck. they're pretty expensive, but it's a great place to start and they give somewhere around 50 hp... as for the sound... there's many ways to get a great sound. I prefer to have a great performing car before it just "sounds cool". By getting the CHIP and a new DV there would be an increase of sound in the DV anyway...

Dude he has a 2.8 not a 1.8T so a Dv is not gonna help him in any way lol,

for $3k i would buy some rims, coilovers and tints and call it a day. chagers can cost over $5k after all is said and done i think. not too sure on the price.
