Help Needed - Engine v6 30V + Auto Tranny pull questions
Hi Guys,
I am in the process of pulling out my V6 30 valve engine complete with automatic transmission as a complete unit as I have to do major work on both.
Now I have stumbled upon some pratical problems.
First of all I understand that there seem to be 2 ways of doing this job.
1: Via the front, after dismounting everyting on the front.
2: Lowering the engine after dismounting the whole subframe
Now I have opted for the first on, via the front, for practical reasons. (like not having a lift, etc)
I allready dismounted the whole front, but would like to know in detailed way what else I have to dismount.
Especialy with regards to everithing on and around the subframe (besides the 2 drive shafts offcourse), as well as electrical stuff (I have read somewhere the ecu has to come out togeter with the engine? ) and last but not least...what to dismount and where and how with regards to gear lever mechanism (as I have not touched that part yet)
The car is a normal frontwheel drive, so not quattro, and I put is on mini-ramps to be able to work underneath. Also everything on the front is allready dismounted
Every input is more then welcome, as I am rather stuck at the moment , being afraid to mess things up
