Most people will get 28-30 MPG on the highway with the FWD 1.8T.

Well I was eventually thinking about getting a chip from either giac or apr but first I want to make sure that my car is in optimal shape to handle the more aggressive tune. Anyways got my o2 sensor and a k&n panel filter ordered, also going to go and pick up some Bosch or ngk copper spark plugs and the fuel filter as soon as my o2 filter comes in so I can get it done in one day. Another quick question I was lookig at the CTS the plug on the wiring harness is blue but the sensor it plugs into is green? Would that possibly effect anything I know that there are 3 different color sensors for the 1.8t just not sure if it would make a significant difference to change out.

I'm getting about 22-23 MPG mixed driving, and about 27 on road trips (all highway) with an APR tune. Before you do all the tune up stuff, it wouldn't hurt to do a seafoam treatment as well. One can in a full tank of gas, half in the crank, half in the intake. Change the oil and spark plugs and all your other tune up stuff once it's time to fill the gas tank again...

I just changed the oil not too long ago because my oil cooler gasket failed so it's going to be a little while before I get a chance to do the seafoam treatment. However that does sound like a good idea once it's time for my next oil change.

^I would wait to replace the plugs too, until after the seafoam.

It's been a year and some change since the last time I did it. I have all the stuff for the oil change and everything, but I'm still a few miles short of being due...
