Default Help with VAG-Com Codes

Hi everyone and thanks in advance for reading this,

Check engine light was on so I decided to vag with Ross-tech. Found these nifty codes:

17831 - Secondary Air Injection System: Bank 1: Insufficient Flow
P1423 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17819 - Secondary Air Injection System: Bank 2: Insufficient Flow
P1411 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16518 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1: No Activity
P0134 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16805 - Warm Up Catalyst: Bank 1: Efficiency Below Threshold

Searched around the forums and 16518 seems to be one of those that pops up when the oxygen sensor goes bazuka, so that's one less, but I don't know about the other 3. What service do I need to do to solve those?

Any replies are more than apprectiated!

Thanks,
j_ripper19

So that means the o2 sensor is ok? I used a multimeter to check for resistance in each sensor. It was below 8ohm in every sensor which kinda of makes me think they are ok. if the air pump is failing would that trigger the sensor code as well?

Thanks a lot for your help!

If you have the VAG you can manually activate the secondary air pump in basic settings data block 63 i think. Just search around to you find it. 70 is EVAP so don't do that data block.
If you can't hear the SAP pump turn on when the VAG says its running the test then the pump is probably bad.

The cat efficiency code means you need a new cat on the passenger's side.

Thanks for all the help!

I just have 2 more quick questions. I checked the resistance with a multimeter for all 4 o2 sensors and everything was below 8 ohm. I'm under the impression that when the R is below 20 ohm, the sensors are still fine. So I just let it be or am I completely wrong?

Also, I'm not sure but won't a bad SAP mess up the exhaust for the catalytic converter on the passenger side? Just wondering if that could cause the 16805

Thanks a lot for all the help!
