Hey I am about to purchase an a4.

This is the thread Devil was talking about... dew ur homewerk...
The A4s are way overpriced, although the owner of the Avant seems to know his stuff since he included the mileage of the TB and WP replacement (key, key, key). But still, overpriced...
Not sure about the A6, never really priced that year/ model...

Hey, i checked out the guide a while back
. But I was just wondering personnel opinions of the car, user to user opinions! Thanks for all the help. And I think here in WA any 4wd/awd is kinda inflated in price!

On a similar note, aside from Craigslist and other sites like Autotrader, has anyone bought a car from..eBay or an auction? I say this while assuming the buyer would try to coordinate meeting up and test drive the car with the intent to most likely buy then and there if it's sound. All the cars I come across don't have documentation of work and/or are at least $2,000-$4,000 over priced!
a4a4j, I agree with the others, on it being over priced. They might look nice, but they're out to make money, not sell you a car priced at what it's worth. There's an immaculate silver S4 about 30 minutes from me with 121K, kept up by a mechanic who knows what he's doing, with a tune and other performance mods that he's selling for $8800

A4AJ, Are you looking for a 2.8L as a powerplant, the 1.8T motor will allow you more opportunity for power adders later on, but be aware that the turbo motors were notorious for "Oil Sludge" problems. If these vehicles were well cared for, with regular maintenance, at the proper time and with quality components, Then make these guys an offer. I agree with the group that the pricing does seem a bit on the high side and you will have to decide which of the body styles you prefer or which one fits your lifestyle better.
Either way you decide to go... Welcome to the family!
