HID help
Here what I have installed is some 55W HID's on my depo ecodes with black housing....excuse the crappy pics, it was taken with my AT&T Tilt And yes, they are 6000K color. I believe is the ideal temp color as I feel you get the max light out, especially on a 55w set up.
FYI: As most will know, these headlights take stock D2S bulbs, but i was able to put in 9006 bulbs in there. without cutting or trimming or anything of that sort. Popped right in, I only did it though because that's what I had and didn't have the conversion wiring to put the D2S bulbs, cuz my HID kit was originally for a 9006 set up......anyways here it is:

P.S. Yes, I know the right head lamp needs to be adjusted up a bit...i already did that, these pics were taken right when I finished installing them.

SO MUCH GLARE. OP, you do NOT want your lights to look like this. Just looking at the picture hurts my eyes! This is why you need proper projectors! Also, you do not get the max output on 6000k. As said before, you get it with about 4300k.
Also, Phil, 8000k bulbs actually ARE illegal. And so are all of your HID kits. It is illegal to put HIDs into a setup not DOT certified for them. It is also illegal to put 8000k bulbs in an OEM HID application, though not nearly as bad. Personally, I don't give a crap about what the law says as long as you do it right and make them safe by NOT blinding other drives like that terrible setup there.

From the vvme.com website Q&A:
Q: Are these XENON HID light systems street legal?
A: Every country and jurisdiction has its own rules and regulations governing the use of automotive lighting. XENON H.I.D. lighting systems that are supplied with the vehicles from the factory are DOT / E approved.
Our kits are also made by the same OEM manufacturers that supply all the major car companies of the world.
NO XENON H.I.D. lighting system available from any source is DOT / E approved if installed outside of the factory. These kits are not street legal for use on public roads as they are. As a result, we officially endorse the kit for exhibition and off-road use and will only sell the kit to be used for these purposes.
We are not responsible for customers who violate the terms of sale in which they will assume all responsibilities for any unauthorized or unintended use other than exhibition or off-road use.
Other than that, this was only slighty painful to read through. Thanks for the advice for those who provided it. And I will definitely post some pics if I get them installed before I head back.

Like people with lifted trucks that blare it right in your rear view mirror.
Our stock projectors are H7 which are not well suited for HID, though it will still be better than the old reflector setups.
It won't end up looking as good as HID projectors, but it shouldn't have as much glare for other drivers as a reflector setup would, though it will probably have some. It will not illuminate the road as well as an HID projector and the beam pattern will be much narrower, but it will beat stock in road illumination.
You shouldn't even get glare from above the car when you take a picture, for the record.

I'll make sure I get some before and after pics so you guys can let me know if I need to adjust anything. Now I'm a little disappointed, but hey, 60 bucks... can't complain. I guess in the near future I'll have to upgrade to true HID projectors and a better kit. But, for 60 bucks, if it's an improvement over stock, I can't complain.
Also, I just got the shipping confirmation from DHL... the kit is on it's way... from China! Who know's how long that is going to take!
