hid installation

Question hid installation

i was going to put hids in my a4 2000 but the guy said that i have to get anti flicker capacitor. is it necessary? what about relay? is there are any difference?

wtf is an anti flicker capacitor? i have my hids in and i didnt get anything othr than the kit

You need no such thing. Order them and put them in and enjoy.

hes probably talking about a capacitor that is used with a large stereo system to keep the lights from dimming or blowing out. if you dont have a large subwoofer you dont need a capacitor.

Not needed. Some newer A4s were getting warning lights on the dash but I don't recall it happening On the B5. Hundreds of us have them with no caps and no problems. Install the HID kit and you're fine.

i have a capacitor... but thats also cuz i have a full sound system lol.... but even before i got the system installed i had no issues with dimming or flickering lights
