I installed DDM 55w 5k HID upgrades about a month ago with the relay harness and everything is hooked up properly but my right headlight doesn't turn on the first time I flip my headlights on. I have to get out of the car, look, get back in turn them off and flip them back on and then it turns on and warms up. Then I get the error code on my dash. Any ideas why it doesn't turn on at first? Help is appreciated thanks!

 

So you had the halogen headlights before? If so, with the 55W kit, you shouldn't be needing the relay harness.

Try taking it off and see if it fixes the problem.

 

Unless its an auserwald kit all 55w kits are going to be made overseas and of very low quality. 35w 4300k is the way to go. Sounds to me like a bad or weak ground with the ballast. Best thing to do is swap the bulbs side to side, if it still has a problem switch ballasts. If it misfires on the other side its the ballast, if not its a ground
