Chip yes, w/o hesitation.
If turbo has to come out at some point, get a downpipe in and (if don't have to worry about emissions tests) eliminate cat or get 'race cat'. I personally think it helps the chipped turbo. And now you are close to stage 2 prerequisites.

My A4 is closing in on 150k, no plans to part from it, yet plans to for even further turbo upgrades, but need tune and matching fuel first. You should have done the FMIC when doing the timing belt; I found it a nice upgrade, cost me $300, a few extra hours and the front of the car was off for the timing belt job anyway).

When OEM clutch need to come out (not worn, but rather wrongly installed rear main seal by shop during previous owner clutch change), i installed Southbend Sage 3 (stock driveability, higher power rating, cost neutral).

Its a quatro. I dont race anyone anymore, i just like to fly around, thats the fun for me. Killed too many cars and racked up to many points racing mexicalis in "souped up" civics on the streets. Everyones enthusiasim has truely inspired me....next paycheck, def gonna hit the shop for the chip upgrade. Thanks for the help.
