high vacuum whisting noise
was messing with my fmic the other day trying to make it fit better behind the front bumper and was also replacing my drive axel. after I drve it out I was getting unusually high vacuum readings, about 5-7 hg more than I remeber and the car now makes a whistling noise when I'm on the boost. boost psi is also down by about 1-2psi. was wondering what this might be. re-tightened the fmic clamps and everything was on good. thought about leaks but wouldnt vacuum be less?
does your boost get progressively less over time? i had a similar problem, i noticed a few psi were gone and the turbo seemed alot louder, then after 50-100 miles i noticed the boost was cut in half. it turned out a hose going from the intake to the DV was rubbing on a belt. its a rather tight fit. check that hose for leaks. also my gas mileage was terrible and when i was on the boost the car had no power due to unmetered air getting in/out
