The shocks are pretty good depending on your driving surface and your daily load capacity. I had the shocks done only once and I don't even think about them.
P.S did them at 240K or somewhere close to that.

Just clocked 311,210 last friday after a long trip. I hope to get pics of the car uploaded soon. The funny thing is, you get conscious of the mileage more during the 200K stretch, once you get past 290K, the mileage is an afterthought (bonus miles).
Something I realized all these years owning this car is that the engine can pretty much take a beating and still run so long as you don't stretch the service intervals. (the turbo is an exception, it will die on you sooner or later) Nothing irritates a 1.8T driver more than a crapped out turbo that hisses and loses boost.

I'm at 199,879 miles...should crack 200k by the end of the week on my 1.8
I'm currently running a worn out K03s that hisses but I just beat my friends WRX from a dig spiking at 24psi. I'm proud of my museum piece

And to think I was excited about my 175k project!

Kaiser! If you're riding it into the ground, why not get there a little faster? BT setup?

I have almost 140,000. I wonder if this means I can look forward to keeping my car for a while seeing as a lot of you have 200k+.

I do treat mine like a baby. No speeding, no crazy driving, and regular servicing. But I bought it used from a dealer, so who knows how the previous owners treated it. :/

I beat the **** outta mine, but it seems to enjoy the torture. If something goes wrong I'll just drop money into it. Considering I do all the repairs myself its better than having a new car payment. I'm definitely planning on driving it into the ground

Thanks Kaiser. I actually bit the bullet and put Bilstein Sports on all four corners. The ride is awesome. Shooting to catch up with you. Currently 214K

I also beat the **** out of mine. I recently washed over 200lbs of mud out of the wheel wells. I also put a skid plate on the fuel lines so I can take it on pretty rough dirt roads without crushing the fuel lines (this happened to me before the skid plate!!). So far 214K and still running like a champ
