For the first time, I've check reasonably steady-speed, freeway-only mileage on my '96 2.8, with almost no stop-and-go driving involved. I filled up at the station, drove a 93 mile round trip at around 70 MPH, then refilled at the same pump. The fuel used was 2.90 gallons, so the MPG was about 32. Now there is more error to be expected for a trip of this length, but I was pretty pleased with how little gas was used.
