Default Holy sweetness, it feels like a brand new transmission!

I did the tiptronic fluid & filter change out this weekend, and what a difference!

The transmission is shifting like silk again. Feels like a completely new transmission now.

The job was pretty easy, and the only difficulty I ran into was that I stripped out one of the T25 torx bolts, so I had to get creative and use a dremel tool to cut a line into the head so that I could use a flat head screw driver bit to get the screw out. Luckily that worked.

Other than that drama, it was very straight-forward. VAG-COM was a big help, allowing me to monitor the tranny fluid temp as I filled it up.

I highly recommend this job to anyone who hasn't done it to their auto transmission. My car has 122k miles on it, I probably should have done is sooner.

what module is the tranny fluid temp, within the vag-com software?

I am just curious,i don't need to replace my automatic transmission fluid as i replaced my tranny with new tranny fluid about 3 months ago.

The tranny wouldn't shift into 4th gear and above, took it to an Audi stealership, they said the tranny has a mechanical faliure and needs to be replaced.

so i took it to a independent shop,1588.00 for a tranny with 70.000 miles or so they claimed,400.00 for installation and a few more bucks for the tranny fluid and tranny filter...ect
