I think the ones on the bottom are there incase the input shaft seal leaks. You wouldnt want your flywheel/pressure plate/clutch sitting in a pool of tranny fluid. No clue about the hole on top.

 

Here is the pressure plate, clutch, and flywheel out. The clutch looks like it needs to be replaced, but there appears to be friction material and might not explain why my car is unable to move.

I know that discoloration is bad, but do you think it's glazed to the point that the clutch would not be able to grab at all?

That means high heat... Hard driving. I had same thing on my old ricer

 

well the reason i took this out (97 1.8tqm) is because the car wouldnt move at all when trying to engage the clutch in any gear. I would think that it would be able to engage even a little bit with hot spots/warpage and a clutch with minimal material left. Maybe/hopefuly not. I cant think of anything else that would keep the car from moving... The car would flat out not even try to move.

What happend to our experienced B5 members? Its rare that I need help with something, but when I do it's like a damn ghost town! No offense to anyone... It's just sort of a drag.

yeah the clutch and flywheel is toast! All those heat spots on it are a clear indication that someone was either beating on it or slipped the clutch grandma style. You're gonna need a new flywheel.
