Default hose leaking oil?

so a while back when i was doing my timing belt and had the engine cover off i noticed that a hose was sweating oil (no holes, it was just kinda covered with oil) here is a pic of what i am talking about. this is not my pic using it only to show which hose.

what would be the reason for it to be sweating oil?

I'm not familiar with the 6 cyl., but it looks like an easy place to replace it. Hoses just get worn from heat and pressure over time. Especially being right on top of the engine right there.

I don't know the v6 either, but are you sure the hose is bad and it's not something else leaking that's coating the hose? For example, if your front seals leak and the timing belt gets oil on it, would you think the timing belt is leaking oil? Further investigation is needed.

I just checked mine and it looks like a power steering hose, but it sits adjacent to the valve covers which also might be your cuplrit.
