Hose/piping hanging from underbody- help
I just got back from tahoe last night and it was snowing *****. the a4 is pretty low but it hasn't had any major clearance issues while driving in the snow. I just got to class this morning and i'm hearing this scraping sound while cruising the parking lot for a spot. I check under the car and there is a gray hose/pipe thats scraped to ****, along with the bracket that may or may not have been holding it on. I havent had a chance to diagnose the problem, because i am in class right now. it runs fine, which is why im not freaking out, im not sure if its an exhaust component because it looks plastic. Any help would be greatly appreciated. again, i dont know if this is something i snagged on the way into the lot or if its something important that needs to be replaced. I have the B5 manual on my laptop but was unable to find the part. ill get a pic after class (1:00pm)

OP, 1.8t or 2.8? There are various and assorted hoses specific to both, and while I don't think hoses hanging from either one is generally a good thing, it could help people diagnose your problem faster. I'm suprised you say it runs fine and you didn't notice this until you heard it scraping in the parking lot. Does it sound any different?

oh my bad guys i thought i had my car in my sig- its a 01' 1.8TQM. it is to the drivers side of the flexpipe and a few inches more towards the front end. the pipe/hose looks like a standard 1" pvc, about 6 inches in length with a metal bracket.
