Hot no start/long crank
When I shut off the car at operating temps, it wont always start back up. Sometime it will after a long crank. It has no driveability issues once started. It never throws a code.
This ive replaced,
ICM, ECT, CSS (crank speed sensor)
Any ideas?
If i let the car sit for an 30 to 60 minutes, it will start perfect.
I dont have a low crank speed either.
The car does have stage 1 GIAC.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Its a 1.8t. I dont think it is getting any spark when i have the no start issue. I dont see what could posible be interputing the spark. I thought maybe the ICM, but after taking compressed air and cooling it to the point of frost, it still would have to sit 30 minutes to start.
I have seen more people asking the question and I found the solution (for my car, maybe your too...). My POS (Power Output Stage aka ICM) went out and I replaced it with one from an Ebay seller (ClassicCarsAndParts). The POS had Audi (0000) stamped on it and looked authentic. It fixed my misfire on #2 but shortly after I started getting the random no start after shutting down for fuel-ups and other short stops.
I replaced the fuel pump, ECT, CPS, and Cam angle sensor. The random start issue would still plague the car. At one point I felt like selling it and buying a Grand AM
(not really but close...). After being super frustrated, I got my hands on some used 1.8t 4 wire Coils from a 01 VW. I bypassed the ICM and used the built in POS of the newer coil. Long behold, the problem was gone.
I cant explain it other then the POS wanted extra voltage from the ECU during warm starts.
My car was also very sensitive to low voltage conditions. If the BATT was allowed to run down at all, the car would not start no matter how long it would turn over.
Anyway... Seems like the POS has different ways of failing. The crazy thing is that it would run perfect once started. I drove my car from WI to OK and back to WI without an incident. Just had to let it sit for 15 minutes after fueling.
Hope this helps for those that have experienced the same issue.
Cheers!
