Default Long Crank

Okay so my car was running perfect and all was well. I started to hear my fuel pump whining away, first thought that comes to mind is its gonna go bad soon. Being that I live in illinois and it gets blistering cold I figured this fuel pump would not make it through the winter. So, I changed the fuel pump to a fuel pump in which I got for free. This fuel pump is aftermarket for the i4 big turbo, I have the v6. I didnt know the fuel pump was specifically for the i4 going into this project. anyways I swapped them and all was well again for a few days. After a few days I started getting long crank which I believe is due to the 2 extra cylinders and the fuel pump not being able to handle it. So I swapped them back. now I know everything is installed correctly as I have triple checked. I however still have a horrendously long crank. The fuel filter is brand new, I just cleaned the MAF and everything is the way it should be. I know that my ambient temperature sensor always reads wrong on startup(usually -30). my question is what could be the cause of this I am at a stand still. Keep in mind I am trying to spend as little money as possible because I am selling the car. It is just a nausence.

warm start is alittle better with only slight hesitation once the car gets cold forget about it. I tried priming and that does nothing for it.

nothing wrong, from what ive heard the fuel system depressurizes after a while and thus the laong crank, my A4 does the same thing, best thing ive seen to overcome this is when you get in turn the car on to ACC and put on your seatbelt a wait like 5 seconds for the fuel pump to prime. try it tomrroow and i bet it'll start right up.

Air should take care of itself automatically and a big turbo fuel pump will easily handle the v6.

If he pinched a line, that could do it. If he punctured a line, it'd leak fuel. But it's worth checking.

I am almost 100% sure it isnt a pinched line, I am gonna check it out tomorrow. I am also going to try the seat belt idea, hopefully that will work. I appreciate the input and will let you guys know what I find tomorrow. I am also pulling spark plugs to see if I am getting too much fuel or not enough.
