I believe it can be done using Vag-Com, which is made by Ross-Tech. There may be someone in your area with one already or you can buy a cable from them or eBay (but people have had mixed results with eBay cables). If you buy from Ross-Tech, you'll be able to buy a hardware/software package. If you go the eBay route, you can download the older software from them for free.

If you do go with an eBay cable, get a serial to OBD-II because I don't know of anyone who's been able to get the USB to OBD-II cables to work. If you don't have a serial port, RadioShack sells a USB to serial adapter.
