How do I replace the rear amplified speaker?
Hi, I am sure this has been asked many times but I can't seem to find the specific solution.
My problem is that I need to replace both rear speakers, but the rear left (passenger side) one hasn't just got a plug and play socket. It has plug for the built in amp.
How do I replace this speaker with a normal speaker without wiring in an amp?
Thanks in advance.

In my 2.8, without the bose system, the left speaker has an amp. Mine was ripped off when I bought it so I soldered the wires together and figured out a way to keep the amp tied up by the speaker. I used two shoelaces. Everything works fine.
I managed to connect the amp up to the new speaker by cutting the green and the black wire connected to the old speaker, then soldering it to the positive and negative of the new speaker.
Thanks for the reply though.
