Default How to launch a manual?

I have a 1998 1.8t A4. This is my first manual car. I had a dually Chevrolet truck with a 7.4L V8 that was a manual but I used it for work so never really learned how to launch.

What am I supposed to do to launch? At what RPMs? Am I supposed to floor it and release the clutch when it reaches a certain RPM? Do I just pop the clutch in?

What harm does this do to the clutch and transmission?

I ask on here rather than youtubing it since I get a specific answer for an A4 and not just a general answer.

Simple

Bring the clutch pedal up just below the friction point(car wanting to move)

Blip the throttle a few times

On one of the down swings of the rpms go WOT

Release the clutch all in one motion as you get to the rpm you want to launch at. Do NOT slip the clutch, that is only done to control wheel spin.

If you have a K03 you want to launch around 4k, if a K04 around 4500, GT28r around 5k-5500 and an Elim around 5500-6k.
