Default How to remove Cluster wire harness?

I have to get an inspection done, and I am going to remove my ABS light in my instrument cluster above the steering wheel so I can pass. We completely removed the ABS after the module was fried....

Question: Removing the cluster was very easy, however I could not figure out how to remove the 2 wire harness' that are connected to the back. Can anyone fill me in on how to remove these properly?

---Also, does anyone know the best way to remove the ABS led light?

in NY i believe they plug into the OBD port to run diagnostics durring an inspection. removing the light wont change the fact that you will have codes stored for the ABS.

Ha, if I was still in NY it would be extremely easy for me to pass inspection. All I have to do is take my vehicle up to my uncle's shop. Almost everything he does for me is free and when it's not, it has about a 95% discount on it. I guess that's one of the perks of being family of the manager.

So what do you suggest I do? Brake light is flashing (I already filled fluid and it continues to flash) and ABS light are on due to removing my ABS system completely. Anyone in upstate NY (cap region) know of a lax shop where I can pass inspection?

the only way you can get past a scanner is by fixing the problems or going to a shop that doesnt plug into the car. although im not 100% sure they care about ABS anyway, its not emissions related, and im not sure they care about your safety equipment. you arent required to have ABS and not all cars do. if that is your only problem you might as well try and see. if they complain about it then explain to them what i just said.

Thanks ghost, I wasn't aware of that. I'll give it a try at the most bootleg shop I can find and see what happens.
