Default I am in need of some help.

I have a 2000 Audi A4 Quattro with the 2.8 V6 , the old owner told me that out 5W-30 full Synthetic in it but I looked on the forums should I keep putting 5W-30 full Synthetic or switch to W5-40 full Synthetic. This is my first Audi A4. Please help if you can.

They both should work. Not sure about the V6. I would check your manual as to what oil the dealer recommends but it’s usually Castrol 5-40 full synthetic for the 1.8T.
