I fixed my car, sorta
Hello.I used to have a 0psi boost issue and I fixed it by replacing the turbo actuator, sorta. Now, the car is finally boosting. All I can say is that I'm in love
. However, I don't think that it's boosting all that it should. I have the Speedtuning chip which is supposed to bump me up to 18psi. However, the most I have seen was about 11psi in 2nd with the pedal mashed. I'm pretty sure that the actuator is installed correctly. Is there anything else that I can possibly check to maybe gain back the few promised psi? Thanks.

what type of boost guage do you have?
when I was stock I had a autometer sport comp II boost guage that said I spiked at 11/12 and held at 8/9
then I got my VDO which never/ever read past 8.5 or so stock....
are you sure that your ecu was actually chipped?
have you EVER spiked at 18?...
I have three different guesses
#1- you have a crazy freakin boost leak
#2-your ecu was never chipped
#3- your boost guage is installed incorrectly/it was installed improperly

1. I doubt that I have a boost leak since the car was shop tested and they did not find a single leak.
2. Unless Speedtuning somehow messed up, I should be chipped.
And I am not boosting again, it is actually the FIRST time I am boosting.. Yeah, my car was like a bus before this..

Have you considered installing a MBC? Might help you control your boost levels a little better also get a quicker spool response.

1 its the chip. i bought a speed tuning chip and i only boost at 10lbs peak. dont try to get it fixed casue the guy will do nothing for you, i tried. just save up and get ur car tuned locally. sorry to be the one to tell you.
and 2, an MBC is about $20-30 brand new, and their everywhere if you want a used one. where do you live cause i can get u a used one for about $15 and mabye $2-3 shipping.

I will be trying to give the MBC a go once I have the money to buy one.
I turned down my radio while I was driving yesterdayand my rear wheel bearing was humming ain't that a b!tch. We're on the same boat this is my 7th wheel bearing I have had to replace on this car. Cheap bearings Suck!
