i think you'll need to pay my doc bills for tilting my head sideways to start at your 2nd pic for too long. they look freaking awesome with those wheels but how does the ride feel since they're race springs? that's one hell of a price too.

looks good.. i am waiting to get those rs4 wheels.. i love the look of them.. not to flashy but still look great. hows it handling now.. why are you downsizing the tires? do they rub or you think they look to big? rail some corners and tell us how you feel about it.. haha.

 

I helped him install those and got to take the first ride with them, so I'll answer the questions for him.

The handling is on-par with my STaSIS streetsports, his car is a little more tail-happy than mine though for some reason. We only hit up some quick twisties then did some driving around town, so it wasn't a real good test, but it felt good. He's downsizing because there is only a finger gap in the front, and the tires got some good sized chunks taken off in the corners. We're planning on rolling his fenders tomorrow though, should be fun.


ps. Dakota, tomorrow I'm bringing my camera and we're going to get pictures of our cars together. I'm dropping my coilovers another 1/4" while I'm at your house, too.

So, I went down to sac today and paind 280$ including tax for a set of nankang summer tires (225/40/18), I didn't have to pay for mounting and balancing since the shop let me use their tools....

the car feels phenomenal now!

the new tires make all the difference in the world, oh and they are pretty stretched since I am 8.5" wide....lol

so, the smaller tires got rid of the rub, and they also keep the car on the ground...

last nights preliminary run with bald tires, no abs and no awd....the first test was crap, and super flawed....I have yet to get the new tires to break loose, I am still getting a feel for it...

tomorrow when we roll fenders we sill do a mini photoshoot...

besides that, my understeer is gone....I was actually having oversteer problems last night, but I also didn't have a functional awd system....now everything is back to normal...

I will be running the local auto-x on sunday and I will let you know the final prognosis then....
