Default I hate dissappearing fluids.

Thoughts on where all my oil and coolant is going? Checked every hose twice, no smoke, just coolant/oil smells. Coolant will go from max to min in about 3 weeks and oil takes a quart every 2 weeks. Its really starting to make me mad

Edit: replaced thermostat due to no heat at idle as well as a cracked t-stat housing in june. Still no heat at idle.

Pressure test the system and the cap. As for no Heat clogged heater cores are common due to a lack of cooling system maintenance.

I was given the car as a chrismabirthday present and neither of my parents checked if the heat worked Plus less than 24 hours after getting it, the oil press light came on for sludge, so I let the dealer take care of that and had them replace the heater core last november/ fresh g12. How do I pressure test the system? And what cap? that plastic one?

Here's my theory with leaks in general:

Cars aren't magic, so the stuff has to be going someplace, right? If you aren't getting smoke from the engine compartment and/or tail pipes, I'd say you can safely assume its not burning. What I always do every time I notice a leak is take off the belly pan and park over a **** ton of newspaper. Even if you don't notice any leaks when inspecting hoses, you might see stuff dripping that way. Are you seeing oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil? Or are both just disappearing?

I'd check your expansion tank for any white residue on it. Then check in the battery tray where your coolant lines go to the heater core. Check for any white residue there too. Hopefully you don't have a cracked heater core.............
