Keep in mind that with the FrankenTurbo setup you'll still want to perform pretty much the same supporting upgrades as a typical BT setup to get the benefit of the higher flowing turbo: FMIC, exhaust, intake, DV, etc. Plus along with a proper tune (just like with BT) you'd need injectors, FPR, and a larger MAF housing if the tune calls for it.

 

i am a fan of the frankenturbo idea myself, and thats because, minus the software, u get everything you need for the same price as a new ko4 turbocharger with no other parts.

and from my understanding to take your car to a local place and have them fine tune a "chip" or software for the frankenturbo is basically the same/similar cost as just going with a giac or apr pre-runed chip. from what i think i remember reading from a few threads.

I have gone with the Speed tuning setup. im going to hold off on a turbo till after basic and i have $$$
