Default I need a new sound system in my car.. someone recommend me parts?

I have no idea what to get, I want the best bang for my buck as I am a poor college student :/.

I need satellite speakers, amp, sub, and a head unit. Any suggestions?

lol for 500-1000 you can get a kick as system IMO

This is what I have in my car and I cant tell you how much I love it.

Kenwood Excelon 1600w mono

Vented Kicker L7 box

Kicker L7

I put this thing through hell sometimes and it still work just as good as when it first came out of the box. Saves a lot of space and had plenty of room for other things in the trunk.

I know everybody hates on ebay, but thats the only place I'll buy stuff dealing with a sound system because it is SO much cheaper. Now don't get me wrong, you have to buy from the right sellers and you have to make sure that anything you buy is brand new in the box and not refurbished or anything.

For my first car I bought a nice kenwood amp + 2 12 in. woofer package for $300. I checked the same products at best buy and they would have ran me $560 before tax.
I've replaced all the door speakers (not including tweeters) with kicker's along with a new kenwood amp, wiring kit and alpine type r woofer for just over $400 so with that kind of budget you'll be able to get a real nice system.

My only strong advice would be to make sure to do your research and compare products and their prices.

door speakers I would go with POLK Audio. I have it in the A4 and they sound 10x better then Bose in the S4. Maybe around summer I will swap all of the speakers to new setup

I have a cheaper amp I bought off ebay, it is called a Power acoustik. Its an 1800 watt amp, I bought 2 Kicker Comp 12" CVR, and I bought a atrend ported box, and I think I only spent like 340 on all of it, and it hits so very hard.
