i put my test pipe on
i put my test pipe on yesterday morning, it took me a little under 3 hours. kind of a lotof work, it went pretty smoothly though. i went to autozone to get the non-foulers b4 i put it on. they had the 18mm ones in stock, i drilled themout so the o2 sensor could fit and they bolted right on.
i definetly noticed a difference in performance and my car sounds GREAT! i havent got cel yet =)

yeah you should be able to do it with a couple friends, i did mine by myself lol there was a couple times where an extra hand couldnt of hurt.
id say from 1-10 it was about a 7 or 8 lol idk it was pretty tuff.
as far as tools.
a lot of different length socket extensions, 13mm and 17mm sockets
******universal joint socket extension! so you can maneuver the socket through some tight spots. i think without this it would of been a lot harder.
i have an HKS intake with a heat sheild, i took out my filter and the heat sheild to get to the cat easier and without taking the intake out i dont think it would have been possible to take out the cat.

Keep in mind it's even more "tuff" to do if you have tiptronic/auto tranny. The tranny is much wider and makes the gap tightwhere you are looking up through/maneuvering your tools. Also fwiw AEB engines take much better to the non-fouler trick than ATW and AWM engines. Last I heard, Unitronics (BT chip) and APR are the only makers who offer a test pipe program that keeps your CEL off when the secondary 02 fault is stored.
Speaking of-
I have a stock cat off a 2000 1.8t w/ 80kish miles on it. If anyone wants it as a replacement or to gutt out to make your own test pipe, PM me.

of course i have an AWM engine and i'm installing (fingers crossed) my testpipe this weekend....and i have a tip/auto tranny....i might have to recruit my dad to help me, he has way more patience with stubborn bolts and tight working space.
