You can get quality custom sized intercooler cores from bell intercoolers and get custom piping from a good exhaust shop.

There are all inclusive kits out there. Example

Any guess as to how much the custom piping would run?

Exhaust shops use SS and that is something you never want to use for IC pipes. The point is to get the heat out not keep it in the pipes. This is why real FMIC kits use a very thin aluminum pipe.

dragonrage - if you want to talk turbo setups or save money send me a PM/Email or call me.

Yes there are adapters out there that you can use or make to run a GT28 on the stock manifold, just look at the AWE kit. Problem is the stock manifold is going to be the restriction and this has even been seen using the Elim kits which is why they offer a high flow manifold with a K03 flange design.

Believe me the Elim setup isn't exactly taking away anything from the GT28r or GT2871r. Fact is I have driven all of the setups at the track and on the same day with 3 cars all running the same tune/fuel all 3 ran nearly exactly the same time. One car was running a GTRS elim, another running a GT71r elim and the other running a true GT2871r. I have a buddy that made 360whp with his GT71r elim on his B6 running 32psi and 110 octane fuel. He is running a ER comp kit and when your making that type of power a good size core is needed and the ER Comp is rated for up to 650hp. What you dont want to do is end up with a FMIC that is way too small because all you will be doing is limiting how much power your car makes beyond 1 gear.

If you want a real GT2871r setup step up to one with a T3 housing. Just like this setup I put together for a customer of mine.

Nice part is if you feel like upgrading again you can do so without chaning anything else other then the turbo inlet setup.

I can also put a package setup that includes everything you want so you save a good amount of money.

Are you talking aluminized exhaust pipe? Because that is not the same thing used for IC pipes. That is just what shops use for cheap exhaust pipes.

Then they must be more then a "exhaust" shop and more of a fab shop. Aluminum isn't something you use for exhaust pipe.

In regard to the IC, go to the classifieds. Member tooextreme8813 is selling a nice setup for a very nice price (the setup he used on a 71 elim kit).
