Default Identifying correct sensor

Hi guys, I have a 1998 A4 (B5), and I'm having a hard time identifying which is the transmission G38 speed sensor. Is the G38 the external or internal speed sensor?
I'd appreciate it very much if someone can help me out on this.

Audi Portal: Sensors Diagnostic . Audi A6 4B (1998-2005). G38

That link should help you out.

I think its located on the topside of the transmission externally.

You're not gunna like this, but G22 is the external one. G38 is inside the trans oil pan.
