Installing Digital Boost Gauge
Hey guys, does anyone have a video or picture diagram of a boost gauge install onto the pillar? There are a few diagrams and videos of easy ways to install the vent gauge but not other ways. Help Please

The problem with a pillar mount is that a lot of b5s have an airbag right there. Should the airbag deploy, you will have a boostguage come right at you face; and besides, IMO they look much better in the vents (I have 2 gauges, one on either side of the steering wheel in vents). But if you don't have an airbag, I believe you just need to remove that cover, drill a hole, and the screw the pod on

Do you have or, know of a writeup on the vent pods? I don't understand how you're running the vacuum & electrical line through the vent ducting.
I don't know of any DIY's but it's very simple to do, you just run the tubing through the ecu box, down under the steering wheel, then into the air duct with a small hole you puncture in the side. Then the wiring goes through the same hole, into the fuse box where you hook it up to the fuel pump to run all the time or the license plate lights to only run at night. At least that's how I did mine
I found a decent diagram and installed it saturday. Took a little while, about an hour and a 1/2. (had to go back to autozone for some extra clamps and tubing). Wiring was pretty easy. I don't have an airbag in the pillar, so I installed the pillar mount with some double sided tape and screws. It looks great. I'll post some pics soon.
Thanks for the responses
