instrument cluster question

I'm new to the Audi community. Was involved w/ Hondas for 20 years. I needed an age appropriate car, and now I'm hooked.

Will a instrument cluster from a 5spd plug and play into an automatic?

Yes as long as it matches with either having the screen or dummy lights, it does need to be recoded with a vag com I believe though.
