Intake Help!

Default Intake Help!

Ive got a 01 1.8t a4 and was wondering if anyone could explain to me or show me how to put on a cone as my intake. I know you have to bulid up the heat shield so its sucks in cold air. Can anybody help???????????? No haters please

By doing that you might suffer a loss in performance. The stock intake on the 01 is not all that restrictive. And you will be taking hot air from the engine compartment.

Debated 1000x... you think the air won't heat as it passes through your turbo Rickna? Biggest advantage is sound... that's pretty much it. If you're worried about IAT's then get a front mount.

I don't recall saying that. Hmm...let me see drawing air from outside the car vs the inside engine bay-next to the engine above the cat. Why I can't decide...pfftt

???... anyway my point is, you won't have to deal with a performance loss... not on a stock k03 turbo with a stock vs open element intake. Follow the DIY, enjoy your new intake sound.
