Default Intake Mod

I need help with an intake mod, not sure if i should attempt the new filter one, or just drop in a k and n and put a few holes in the bottom of the stock. There are two diy's on this forum, just not sure which one is easier or more effective? I have never attempted something like this before. Any comments, or suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks everyone.

Just don't over complicate it. Drill holes through the plastic inner fender and cut out the bottom of the box. K&N is highly advised, especially since they are water resistant, where as a paper filter is paper.

i personally have done both, and am running the k & n with the front of my box swiss cheesed...

the cone filter will give you a tad more throttle response and make you dv louder.. other than that, nothing

the swiss box and k & n do about the same, but i didn't wanna drill my finder linner.... if you do a oiled filter of any kind, let the filter sit out for a day or 2 to get the excessive oil off the filter or it will eat up your maff for a late night snack

def agreee with turbo kraut, used K and N filters on my highly modded 01 celica gts, and my slight modded 02 a6 2.7t, and on both cars i have had to clean the oil off my MAF sensor because when its ***** to the wall pedal to the floor time, that oil will turn your MAF into an oil sump, use oil sparingly and follow kraut's suggestion.
