Default Judder in first gear-99 2.8Q manual

I changed my clutch a couple of yaers ago and all seemed to be fine until recently. When i move off in first gear i get a judder. Could this be a sign for a new clutch or flywheel?

not necessarily. first off, explain "judder" a little more in depth. you cant really tell when a clutch is going out until it starts to slip, which IMO is not a "judder". if it was the clutch it would happen in other gears because the clutch doesnt care which gear you are in, it just does its business. my guess would be mounts because first gear is a little tourqey, and that extra tourqe would make the tranny shutter a little. is your stick moving at all when you give it to 'er? (no that is not a sexual inuendo)

Thanks for the reply.

its a vibration coming through to the cockpit inc the gear stick as i pull away in first gear. if it is the mounts is it an easy fix?
