just advice on modifications please.
^This.
Also, before you start thinking about making more power, I would be more concerned about supporting mods. If you're going anything bigger than the stock K03 (and really even a K03 with this magical tune you're on about) you really should have a front mount. The stock side mount isn't going to be able to keep up and keep the charge air cool.
Second (and arguably more important) is a new clutch. Even at the power you're putting down now, your stock clutch isn't going to last much longer. Before you add more power upgrades, I would replace your clutch with something designed to handle the kind of power you're talking about making. SouthBend stg. III, Clutch Masters Fx400, something like that.
As for turbos, I really don't see you making more than 450HP on an elim kit, even with W/M injection. You could have the head ported and polished if you want, but that by itself isn't going to net you much HP, and its not going to be a bottle neck until you get someplace north of 500HP. By that time, you're going to need inconel valves and a rebuilt head anyway. Depending on what turbo you decide to go with, you're also going to have to do rods, bearings, new hardware, a new tune, injectors, FPR, exhaust mani, etc..etc...etc...

To clarify what I meant by "matching the numbers", I meant the output numbers on a stock B5 or B6 S4, not the 450hp desired number. I don't think an elim 2871r would hit that at the flywheel, even with cams, built bottom end, w/m injection, and a custom high-boost tune. It just can't move enough air through that little engine. You'd likely need a 30xx setup to hit 450 flywheel, let alone whp. The K03 in this car will likely go into surge long before it hits the level of output to make a 1.8T faster than any of the S4s.
It's *possible* to make high HP on a K03, Mike Hood made a **** ton of power on his K03 running like 30lbs of boost. BUT, he was also running a big *** FMIC, race gas, and 034 standalone, and he wasn't running the car on the street. That set up would grenade in a hurry if you tried to run it in a daily driver.
i didnt say all. i said a couple. i dont know what year they are. but there are 2 guys that drive black ones and did not win. and i did forget it does have a ko4 on it. i wasnt trying to make you all angry cause i said that an s4 actually lost. im just saying. all i was doin was asking for help not argument.
You sure you don't have any other mods besides a tune and DV? I'm not sure the stock injectors/FPR/fuel pump can push enough gas to keep up with a K04 at 24+ psi and not run lean as ****.
I wasn't saying 450hp isn't a good aim, just that you'd be hard pressed to get there with an eliminator turbo. Maybe a GT2871r with the right tune and supporting mods.
The way I see it, there are two major factors when making a decision like this: budget and a horsepower goal. generally speaking, the more of one you want, the more of the other you need. Once you get a general idea of the kind of power you want to make, then you have to ask yourself if you're willing to drop the kind of coin it would take to get there.
For 450hp, you're prolly gonna need to bump up to a Gt30xx or t3/t04. That also means you're going to need a new tune, injectors, FPR, exhaust mani, DEFINITELY a new clutch, flywheel, motor/trans mounts, FMIC, exhaust. I dunno if IL has emissions but you're gonna either need a test pipe or HFC.
