You just have to take off the engine covers and reach behind the motor, its located on the top of the coolant crossover pipe. Pull the plastic holding clip out from the side and pull it straight up. Some coolant will spill out, DON'T TAKE OFF THE COOLANT CAP WHEN THIS IS OUT, as it will push all the coolant out through the CTS hole.
This is a diy on a 1.8T, but the sensor looks the same, its just a little harder to get at.

I'm hearing a tshhh sound after you release the pedal on every rev. On my car I'd chock it up to my DV, but you have a 2.8. Now I'm weirded out, I wouldn't think the intake closing would make a noise. Anyone get that?

A DV is the cousing of the blow off valve. Pressurized air created by the turbocharger must be released somehow when the driver lets off the throttle, otherwise it would go backwards through the intercooler and the turbo, which isnt good. Think about the turbo impeller, spinning at 10-30,000 rpm. Then all of a sudden air switches directions and tries to spin the impeller the opposite way. Bad.

Enter BOV, the extra unused boost is vented into the atmosphere, giving 240sx's and all other turbo'ed cars that signature TSHH! Our cars have sensors that read the amount of air that comes in, like others, (MAF), but also the amount that leaves. If some air "disappears" then the computer freaks out, and leans out the fuel because it thinks there is less air. Running lean is bad as it puts stress on the engine. So to releave the pressure we use DV, or diverter valves. They DIVERT (D'oh) the pressure around the intake and reintroduce it back in the exhaust. Then everythings all good.

Then there's the Forge SPLTR valve. Combi BOV/DV. Fully adjustable anywhere between full vent and full divert. 50/50 is ok on our cars I believe. Thats the DV I want to get.
