Default Just got this b5 weird brake problem

Hi guys first I will introduce my self ,my name is Cris Im new to Audi I came from having 2 BMW's and Im on my 3rd Land rover so Im used to expensive parts ...how ever I always like Audi's so I just got got this 96' with a 2.8 fwd auto in a dark green with the S4 wheels , is not my prefer choice but the price and timing was right plus this will be my wifes car in the future and she dont want to mess with a stick shift ....my choice would have been 1.8T quattro 5spd in silver , maybe the next one , the car runs very good no real problems but the brakes are acting up ...as I stop in the last mph the brakes just grab hard giving a pedal feedback that the abs makes when locking up in like icy road ,other than that they work good I check pads, rotors and fluid they all look fine ....any ideas?? Thanks

I have read about this abs module going bad ,now I have to had that the ABS and brake light turn on in the cluster , twice in 2 days when I turn off the car and turn it on again they go away , brakes still feel good just that sudden grabbing as I come to a full stop...what's involve in changing a abs module and is the 1.8T module the same as the 2.8 that I got ?? Thanks

Check the tone rings on the axles. More common than the ABS module is cracked tone rings or dirty vehicle speed sensors at the wheels. Take a VAGcom, multimeter, or scope and pin out each wheel speed sensor. If they are reading differently, it will set off the ABS.
