just recently picked up a 2000 audi a4 1.8t quattro with receipts for a timing belt and water pumper service etc. been into building honda's for awhile still have a k swap build going on. been in the automotive trade for 3 years. recently quit my job to go back to college. the codes I got for this car seem pretty straight forward from what I have seen over the years have not worked on any german cars they honestly don't seem as bad as people say. need to get cel off for an etest I can have 2 readiness monitors not ready.

no plan for mods its winter just strictly maintain it.






onto problems after doing an oil change and driving the car for a few days the check engine light came on. typical cars old I expected it at some point so I grabbed my scanner.

ended up with


P0411 secondary air injection system incorrect flow. pretty sure I have this fixed found a hose going from the pump that had a hole causing a leak so I think this one is fixed.


P1118 02 sensor heater circ bank 1 sensor 2 open
P1114 bank 1 sensor2 internal resistant too high
P0140 02 sensor circuit no activity detected bank 1 sensor 2
P0422 main catalyst efficency below threshold bank1

looks like I need 02 sensors and a cat and these should all go away any have any input?


P0118 Engine coolant temperature sensor circuit high. looked this up on mitchell looks like a simple sensor replacement should get rid of this one.
